Nyurk is a character who will assist you on your journey across Vherda in this game. A quest line featuring Nyurk will be available, allowing you to learn more about this character and their history as you play through the game. As you progress through the quest line, you may uncover secrets about Nyurk and their role in the world of Vherda. By completing the quest line, you may also unlock benefits or powers that will aid you in your journey.
Nyurks are creatures that can be classified into different roles such as healer, tank, explosives expert, thief, and protector. Each Nyurk has a total of five abilities, three of which can be used at any time during a quest. Some of these abilities are passive and others require activation to provide assistance during a quest. The last two abilities of a Nyurk can be unlocked through training, which involves a combination of tasks, quests, and expeditions.
Nyurks have the ability to swap their abilities with other Nyurks as long as one Nyurk has mastered the ability and can teach it to the others. In addition to your companion Nyurk, you can also hire or potentially recruit sub-Nyurks during a quest. If your Nyurk has the ability called "recruiter," it allows you to recruit sub-Nyurks that you encounter on a quest. Once the quest is completed, you can bring these recruited Nyurks back to the village and teach them new abilities or unlock further skills, some of which may be unique and can only be taught from one Nyurk to another. However, some of the more powerful abilities may have extra requirements before they can be shared among Nyurks. Some Nyurk skills may also be obtained under specific conditions, such as being exclusive to Nyurks from a particular region or only available after completing special quests.
Nyurks of different rarity levels, including Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Mythic, can also be obtained. The higher the rarity, the rarer the skills attached to the Nyurk and the harder they are to find. The rarity level also affects the value of a Nyurk, as Mythic skills can be taught to lower rarity Nyurks, increasing their value. However, the strength of the ability may be reduced when taught to a Nyurk of a lower rarity.
